BANQUET & On being an Artist or another oak tree 1995 – 2026

Two booklets that were produced to coincide with Peter Morgan’s exhibition in the Vaults at the Lavit Gallery Cork 30th July – 22nd August 2026.

BANQUET, celebrates the culmination of thirty years of planting native trees, which have now become a forest. A very slow organic process. I’m a wood chopper, splitting and stacking – absorbed in the moment, focused and alive. The work is physical, visceral and exhausting, and I love that. The booklet is a reflection, a compilation of images and texts that evoke memories, people and place. A journey for the armchair traveller, with no direction home!

BANQUET & On being an Artist or another oak tree, This small booklet consists of Questions and Answers by Peter Morgan, an interview with himself. Asking myself questions was a path to understanding exactly how and why. It is both humorous and revealing. The two booklets read together overlap and riff off each other, Just like friends.

The two booklets 32pp and 12pp respectively, each 180 x 230 mm, stapled, edition of 101. July 2026
